Alright, so today I’m gonna share my little adventure with getting a Copy OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Sapphire, you know, the classic style. It’s been a bit of a ride, so let’s get into it.
First off, I started by looking around, seeing what’s out there. There are tons of these copy watches, and I was like, “Where do I even begin?” So, I figured, let’s check out the details. I mean, that’s where the devil is, right? I looked at a bunch of these watches and started noticing some things.
I began checking the materials. Some of these fakes, man, they use some really cheap stuff. It’s obvious. The case, the bracelet, it just doesn’t feel right. Then I moved on to the dial. I’m no expert, but even I could see the printing was off on some. The layout, spacing, it just wasn’t like the real deal.
- Checking the Serial Number: This was a big one. I learned that many of these copy watches use the same serial number. So, if you type in the number and it doesn’t match the exact watch you’re holding, ding, ding, ding! It’s likely a fake.
- Looking Inside: Yeah, I got brave and started looking inside. You wanna find the Reference Number inside the case-back and an eight-digit serial number on the movement. If those ain’t there, or they look sketchy, you know something’s up.
Then I saw that lots of modern Omega Speedmasters have a sapphire crystal, while the older ones, like the Moonwatch, might be different. And the dial, the dial is important, I looked for spelling errors, the spacing between the letters, the whole nine yards.
Finding a Trusty Seller
After a while, I realized the best way to go about this is to “buy the seller.” Sounds weird, I know, but it means finding someone you can trust, someone who knows their stuff and isn’t trying to pull a fast one. It took some time, but I finally found a seller I felt good about. We talked a lot, I asked a bunch of questions, and they were cool about answering everything.
I finally got my hands on the watch. It felt good, looked good. I compared it with pictures of the real one, checked the serial numbers, everything. It was a match!
So, that’s my story. It was a bit of work, but hey, I got my Copy OMEGA Speedmaster, and I’m pretty stoked about it. Just remember to be careful out there, do your homework, and don’t rush into anything. It’s all about the details, folks!
