This thing, this Rolex, you know? Big name. My neighbor’s boy, he got one of them high imitation Rolex New Green Submariner. Looks just like the real deal. He wear it all the time, show it off like a rooster in the yard. Said he got it somewhere in Houston, think he said from some official flagship store. I don’t know about all that fancy store stuff.
He say it’s the “Hulk” or the “Kermit,” something like that. I just know it is that green watch. My eyes ain’t what they used to be, but even I can see that green shine. He say it’s worth a whole heap of money. More money than I ever seen in my whole life, that’s for sure. Says folks are always trying to buy those new Green Submariner watches in Houston, and the price, it just keeps going up and up.
That boy, he’s always online, looking at stuff. He told me once, “They buy and sell them,” I think he said “locally,” but I don’t rightly know what that means. Just that folks are buying and selling these Rolex watches all over Houston. And these high imitation ones, they look just as good. I swear on a stack of Bibles, you can’t tell the difference! That’s what he said.
