This here Patek Philippe, they call it Calatrava 6119R-001. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Some folks, they go crazy for these kinda watches. They say it’s a good way to keep your money safe. Like puttin’ it in a piggy bank, but a real fancy one. I heard some of ’em, like this Calatrava, and some others called Nautilus and Aquanaut, they get more valuable over time. Just like that old quilt my grandma made, it gets more precious the older it gets.

They say these Calatrava watches, they cost ’round $24,000. That’s a lot of money. More money than I ever seen in my whole life! Could buy a whole lotta things with that kinda money. A new roof for the house, maybe even a new tractor! But some folks, they like these shiny things. They say it’s an investment. Like plantin’ seeds, but instead of corn, you get more money later.

This Calatrava 6119R-001, it’s got some fancy stuff on it. They call it a “guilloched hobnail pattern” and “Clous de Paris”. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a fancy French restaurant. I don’t know what it means, but it looks kinda like the pattern on my old washboard. And they made it bigger, they say. Like when you add more flour to the bread dough, it gets bigger.
They say there’s lots of these Calatrava watches, over 475 of ’em. And they are new. That’s a lot of shiny watches. You can find them in Switzerland. That’s where they made it.
I guess if you got the money, and you like fancy things, this Patek Philippe Calatrava might be for you. But me, I’m happy with my old clock. It tells the time just fine, and it don’t cost a fortune. And I don’t need to worry about losin’ it or gettin’ it scratched. This Calatrava 6119R-001, and all them other fancy watches like Nautilus, they are good. But you need to have money, you know.
If you want this Calatrava 6119R-001, you need to pay. You need to wait. It is not easy. Just like life, I guess. You work hard, you wait, and maybe, just maybe, you get somethin’ nice. But don’t go spendin’ all your money on a watch, now. There’s other things in life, you know. Like family, and friends, and a good home-cooked meal. Those things, they’re worth more than any fancy watch, I reckon.
But this Patek Philippe, it sure is somethin’, ain’t it? All shiny and fancy. People sure do like it. They say it’s the best. I don’t know about that, but it sure does look pretty.
