This here, this Patek Philippe, what they call it, Calatrava 5227J-001, ain’t that a mouthful? Well, it’s a fancy watch, that’s for sure. Seen it in one of them glossy magazines, you know, the kind they got at the fancy store in the city. This one, they say it’s the real deal, from the official flagship store. Expensive though, Lordy, you could buy a whole lotta things with that kinda money. But some folks, they like to spend it on these shiny things.
This Patek Philippe 5227J-001, they say it’s got some kinda fancy gold, 18 carats, whatever that means. Probably makes it heavier, huh? My old watch, it was just plain metal, but it kept time just fine. And this one here, they say it’s got some special glass, so it don’t scratch. That’s good, I guess. I always scratched my old watch on the fence post, feedin’ the chickens.
They say this Calatrava 5227J-001 watch is thin. Like 3.3 mm. My old eyes can barely see that. But maybe for them rich city folks, that is important. They care about that kind of thing, thickness and all. They also say this is a self-winding thing. You know, I had to wind my old watch every morning. This one, it winds itself. Imagine that! They come up with something new every day, I tell ya.

Must be tough, to come from an alligator. This Patek Philippe 5227J-001 watch, it is fancy, I will give them that. But I bet it don’t tell time any better than my old one.
They say it’s water-resistant too, up to 30 meters. Now, I ain’t never been 30 meters under water. Don’t plan to neither. But I guess that’s good to know, if you’re the kinda person who goes swimmin’ with a fancy watch on. Seems silly to me, but what do I know? I don’t know what “diameter” means, but they say it is 40 mm. Also, height is 8.53 mm. I don’t know what mm means either. But it must be important for this Calatrava 5227J-001
