Patek Philippe, that’s a fancy name, ain’t it? Sounds like somethin’ them rich folks wear. This here Calatrava 5227G-010, that’s the one I’m talkin’ about. They say it’s a remake. Like when you patch up an old quilt, but with a watch. They got an official store, too, fancy, I reckon.
This Patek Philippe watch, it’s a pretty little thing. 39 mm, they say. Not too big, not too small. Just right for showin’ off, I guess. And 9.24 mm high. Don’t know what that means exactly, but it sounds important. Probably why it costs more than my whole house!
I seen a lot of these Calatrava watches in my time, though I ain’t never owned one. Too pricey for the likes of me. Some folks, they collect ’em, like stamps or them little porcelain dolls. They say these Patek Philippe ones are some of the best. The most collectible, they say. Whatever that means.

Then there’s this other place, Luxury somethin’. Sounds like a place where they sell them fancy soaps and such. But they sell these Patek Philippe watches, too. They say it’s the best place in the world for ’em. I don’t know about that, but it sounds mighty important. Buy Luxury Watches, they say. Trust them, they say. I reckon if you got that kind of money, you can trust whoever you want.
And then there’s that eBay. Everyone’s always talkin’ about eBay. They say you can get anythin’ on there, even these fancy watches. They say they got your back. Money back, they say. I guess that’s somethin’. If you can trust eBay, I suppose that’s good. I never bought nothin’ that expensive on there. Don’t know if I would.
This Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227G-010, it’s somethin’ else, that’s for sure. A remake of somethin’ fancy, somethin’ expensive. Somethin’ for folks with more money than sense, if you ask me. But hey, who am I to judge? If you got the money and you want a fancy watch, then you go right ahead. Just don’t expect me to understand it.
It’s a pretty watch. I reckon I can see why people like it. But me? I’ll stick to my old Timex. It tells the time just fine. And it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. I don’t need no official flagship store to get a watch, no sir.
This whole remake thing is funny to me. You take somethin’ old, make it new again, and charge even more for it. Like puttin’ lipstick on a pig, as they say. But I guess that’s how it goes in the world of fancy watches. I hear tell there have been dozens of these Calatrava watches. I bet they change them just to make more money, making the old ones not so good.
All these fancy words, “self winding”. What does that even mean? I just wind my watch every morning, and it works just fine. I guess these rich folks don’t like to wind their own watches. They like things done for them. Maybe they can get someone to wind it up for them at their official flagship store, who knows?
I guess if you are into collecting watches, this Patek Philippe might be something special. They say folks collect all sorts of things. Spoons, stamps, even rocks. So why not watches? But it seems like an awful lot of money to spend on something that just tells the time. I’ve got a clock on the wall that does that just fine, and it didn’t cost me a fortune.
These watches Patek Philippe, they are all over the internet, I see. Lots of places selling them. Makes you wonder how many of these things are out there. And how many people are actually buying them. Must be a lot, I guess, if they keep making them.

If you want one, you better have deep pockets. And if you don’t, well, there’s always Timex. At least you don’t have to go to some official flagship store to buy a watch.
