Alright, so I’ve been wanting to make this Fendi Zucca Oyster bag, or was it the Zucchino Oyster Shoulder Bag? Whatever they call it, I wanted to make my own version. I finally got around to doing it, and let me tell you, it was a journey!

First, I headed over to the Fendi website. Just wanted to browse around, see what’s new, maybe get some inspiration. I looked through their “New In” section for women, you know, eyeing those shiny new bags and accessories. Then I hopped over to the men’s section too, just curious. They have some pretty cool stuff there, ngl.

After that, I started looking at their tote bags. Oh boy, they’ve got some fancy ones! The Sunshine, the Origami, all those classic styles. I was drooling, honestly. I specifically checked out the leather tote bags because I needed a bag of a size large and wide enough.

But then, reality hit. I’m not exactly rolling in dough, so buying a real Fendi was out of the question. That’s when I decided, “You know what? I’m gonna make my own!”

So, I started hunting for tutorials. I’m not exactly a sewing expert, especially when it comes to zippers. But I found some great tutorials online about making zipper pouches. They made it look so easy! Simple steps, clear instructions. I figured if I could make a simple pouch, I could probably handle a bigger bag, right?

I spent a few days practicing, getting the hang of sewing in zippers. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, once I got the hang of it. There were a few mishaps, a lot of thread getting tangled, but I finally got it!

  • Searched Fendi online store
  • Looked for tote bags
  • Found some zipper tutorials
  • Practiced sewing zippers
  • Made my Fendi bag

Then came the real challenge – designing my own version of the Zucca Oyster bag. I sketched out some ideas, played around with different fabrics and colors. I wanted it to have that Fendi vibe, but also be uniquely mine. I changed some details.

Finally, after weeks of planning and sewing, I finished it! My very own, handmade, Fendi-inspired bag. It’s not perfect, there are a few wonky stitches here and there, but I’m so proud of it. It’s got that designer look without the designer price tag. And the best part? I made it myself!

It might not be a real Fendi, but it’s my Fendi. And that’s good enough for me. Maybe I should write a tutorial on making zipper pouches next, haha.

How I made my Fendi

It was a really hard work and I’m super proud of the result.

So, this is how I made my own version of a Fendi Bag, It took me to a higher level of sewing and I learned so much during the process. I love it!
