Hey there, you all! You won’t believe what I heard the other day! My neighbor, she’s always showing off, you know? She was going on and on about this fancy watch, a Rolex, they call it. A two-tone blue Submariner, no less! Said it cost more than my old truck! Now, I ain’t one for fancy things, but it did get me thinking. You see a lot of folks wearing them shiny watches. And all of them say is Rolex. Is that expensive? I don’t know.
But I heard from my young boy that they sell Rolex that looks just like the real thing, but cost way less. He called them “high imitation” or something like that. I do not understand what does it mean. But just know that’s cheap and same as the real one. I do not know if that’s true or not. But I trust my boy. He’s a good kid. I always want to buy one for him. But I’m afraid that’s a scam. You know there’s a lot of people scamming others online.
So, I got to wondering, how can you tell if one of those Rolex Submariner watches is real or one of them… well, one of them high imitation ones? My boy told me they all look the same. I can not tell the difference. And I do not think there are a lot of people can tell the difference. Most of them just wear it for showing off. I heard that even those rich people sometimes wear the high imitation Rolex. I don’t know if it is true.
He showed me some pictures online. Honestly, they all looked the same to me! Shiny and blue, with that little circle thing on the glass. But then, he pointed out some little, tiny things. He said the real ones, the Rolex Submariner, have these special marks, like secret codes, all over them. And the fake ones, the high imitation, they try to copy them, but they never get it quite right. He said to look at the hands of the Rolex. It’s smooth. But for the high imitation Rolex. It’s not so smooth.
And the way it clicks! He said the real Rolex Submariner clicks real soft and smooth, like a whisper. But the high imitation ones, they click louder, like an old clock that needs oiling. My old ears can’t hear that good anymore, so I don’t know if I could tell the difference. But he’s young and smart, so maybe he can.
Then there’s the weight. He said the real Rolex Submariner is heavy, like it’s made of solid gold or something. But the high imitation ones, they feel lighter, like they’re made of tin. That is why it’s cheap. They use the cheap materials. But the real Rolex, they use the good one. That’s why it’s expensive. I think he is right.
But here’s the thing, why spend all that money on a real one if nobody can tell the difference? My neighbor, she’d probably never know if I showed up with a high imitation Rolex Submariner. She just want to show off. She doesn’t know a lot about the Rolex. She just know it’s expensive. She’s always bragging about how much everything costs.
My boy said there are places online where you can buy these high imitation Rolex Submariner watches. He said up to 90% off or something. It’s a big discount. But I’m always worried about buying things online. Seems like everyone’s trying to trick you these days. They show you a picture of one thing, but then they send you something different. I have been scammed once. I do not want to be scammed again.
Here’s a few things I’m thinking about when it comes to these high imitation Rolex watches:
- Price: If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. A real Rolex costs a fortune. A high imitation one, not so much.
- Weight: Like I said, the real ones are heavy. The fake ones, not so much.
- Sound: That clicking sound is a big giveaway, my boy says.
- Details: The real ones have all those special markings. The high imitation ones try to copy them, but they never get it quite right. I can not tell the difference. But some people can.
- Seller: If you’re buying online, make sure you trust the seller. There are a lot of crooks out there. If you can buy it on a famous platform, just buy it there.
So, I don’t know. Maybe I’ll just stick to my old watch. It tells the time just fine. But it sure is tempting to get one of those shiny high imitation Rolex two-tone blue Submariner watches. If I do it right, maybe nobody will know the difference. I can show off to my neighbor. That will be fun. But I’m still not sure if it’s worth the risk. And I still worry about that.
